Everyone says goodbye to K-Shizuka at the airport. Ji Hoo doesn’t show up until after she’s left and Jandi calls him out on it. Ji Hoo tells her that, thanks to Jandi and what she said to him, he’s going to go after K-Shizuka. YES. I have to confess that I’ve never really been too fond of or sympathetic to the Rui character (regardless of who is playing him; I’m a big fan of Hyunjoong and Oguri Shun, you know!), so I was pretty happy to see him go XD. Clears the way for Jun Pyo-Jandi!
Jun Pyo and Jandi hang out by Jun Pyo’s car as K-Shizuka and Ji Hoo’s plane takes off in the distance. He looks at her. And debates on what he should do. He puts his coffee down on the car and leans over her, boxing her in with his arms. He tells her that he’s going to say something only once and that she should listen very carefully. Right when he says that they should “date”, a plane flies overhead and drowns out his words. So she has no idea what he said.
The next day, he storms into the cafeteria (in a beanie, swoooooooon!) and says to her, “Saturday, 4:00, Namsam Tower.” He turns to leave while Jandi is still probably thinking. He turns back to the table and tells her that if she’s even a minute late, he’ll kill her XD.
She doesn’t show up at 4:00 of course, so he waits FOUR HOURS in the snow for her. THIS IS TRUE LOVE, YOU GUYS. She finally shows up and asks him what kind of idiot would wait four hours in the snow for someone?! He tells her, “You came,” like that resolves everything. And it does :). She offers to buy him coffee. And they stand on the top of the tower, looking at glorious lights of the city. I was looking at Jun Pyo’s hair and LMAO-ing. SERIOUSLY! THOSE ARE TORNADO CURLS! Jandi points out a star, Jun Pyo calls her stupid and tells her it’s actually a satellite, Jandi says he’s retarded because how can they’re be so many satellites in the sky, Jun Pyo calls her an idiot, etc, etc. It’s really cute :).
They get locked in and have to spend the night together in … a skytram?! This was one of my favorite scenes in the jdrama and I hate to say it, but it was more effective in the jdrama. I wish they got stuck in a small elevator. Or someplace that didn’t have such a nice view, lmao. But it was still super cute! He has something to tell her. So he leans closer and closer to her…. HE LOOKS SO DERANGED HERE XDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD. But also so handsome. Damn, I love his face structure :*. He slumps against her and she shoves him away. She notices he looks really sick and feels his head. WHY SO CUTE, OTP!
She puts a blanket around him ^___^. I wish she took off her scarf for him too. That was another thing I really, really, really liked about the jdrama elevator scene. The next morning, they are discovered by the dude that locked them in.
Jandi freaks out because she doesn’t know how to explain this to her mom. Jun Pyo tells her that they did spend the night together so he’ll take care of this. He said it with such a cheeky look on his face too hahahahahahahaha! Jandi kicks him in the shin. But this picture, isn’t it perfect? When Jandi gets home, her parents are ecstatic that she was gone all night without telling them XDDD. They’re like, “You were with Jun Pyo! How can thing not be okay!!”
Pictures of Jun Pyo whispering into Jandi’s ear (it looks like he’s gonna kiss her~) are posted up at school. Jandi tries to deny that there’s anything going on between her and Jun Pyo, but Jun Pyo shows up and says that it’s all true XD! K-Sakurako (crap I don’t know her Korean name either) is noticeably upset at this news and then freaks out when Jandi tries to look through her Shinhwa preschool yearbook. The actress is great; she really looked psychotic in her scenes! Well done!
MEANWHILE. Ee Jung goes to visit Ga-Eul! HOMG EPIC! LSJDFKLSEIFJLDSK ♥. I know the Tsukasa-Makino pairing takes up most of my attention, but I honestly and truly love the Soujiroh-Yuki pairing as well. I hope they get a lot of good scenes together because the actors playing these roles are so … perfect for each other *sighs*. Kim Bum is seriously too cute to be real. And the actress playing Ga-Eul, I don’t know her name, but she sure is sweet looking and pretty and so cute ♥♥♥!
Back at the club, Jandi gets lured by a guitar-playing stranger (who has nothing on Ji Hoo, thank you very much), ends up drinking too much (or drinking a spiked drink) and passes out. She wakes up the next morning, in a hotel room with her clothes strewn all over the ground, and a lipsticked note in the mirror that reads, “Thanks for last night!” She screams in horror.
We cut to Jun Pyo, who is trying so very, very, very hard to make himself more appealing to Jandi. God, this was such a cute scene! He’s wearing a uniform! And having his hair straightened!! (Remember that when he asked Jandi what exactly she hated so much about him, she listed his curly hair and the fact he never wears a school uniform, among other things?) Woo Bin asks if it’s even possible for Jun Pyo’s hair to be straightened and Ee Jung complains that they’ve been waiting for him for 2 hours already. ALSO DYING AT HOW JUN PYO MADE THE OTHER TWO WEAR THEIR UNIFORMS TOO. THIS IS TRUE FRIENDSHIP!
The terrible trio grab Jandi on her way into class. And yell at her for making a mockery out of Jun Pyo and F4. She doesn’t seem to know what they’re talking about, so they show her some pictures on a monitor.
The next scene is one of the best in the drama so far, imo. Very well-acted and I could feel my heart breaking during it. Jun Pyo walks in with his school uniform and straightened hair and he basically looks perfect. I loved Jandi’s reaction to seeing him styled like that ♥. Jun Pyo demands to know what the hell is going on. And he says coldly to the terrible trio, “Who the hell are you to bother her?” ♥ It’s so awesome how he defends her.
The terrible trio tell Jun Pyo that Jandi is playing him for a fool and that he should just look at the pictures. aljskdls guh this was some awesome acting from Goo Hye Sun. She immediately sides in front of the monitor and tries to stop Jun Pyo from seeing anything. He pushes her out of the way and sees the pictures of Jandi in bed with a mystery man. Also some awesome acting from LMH … there were so many emotions that flashed across his face in that moment ♥.
He asks slowly, “Is this the kind of woman you really are?” Holy, I loved GHS’s face here. She looked so hurt that he wouldn’t believe her. He grabs her by her collar and tells her, “I going to ask just one thing. That person in the pictures … is that really you, Geum Jandi?” She, of course, can’t deny it, so he lets her go. And says, “From now on, I don’t know who you are.” T______________________T MY BREAKING HEART.
With that, he walks away and doesn’t look back. Jandi’s classmates pull at her hair and clothes, but she doesn’t even seem to pay them any attention … she just watches Jun Pyo walk away. SUCH A GOOD SCENE!!!!
His friends are worried. (And hot.) They say that he hasn’t been this upset since his sister’s wedding. When Jun Pyo jumps into his car and speeds away, nearly running over some students, his friends decide that something needs to be done before Jun Pyo actually kills someone. They meet up with Jandi and Ga-Eul to look at those hotel pictures again.
They quickly figure out that there was definitely a third person in that room, a person taking the pictures! And that third person was probably the owner of the lipstick used to write the “Thanks for last night” note left on the mirror. Okay, FINE, I just wanted more caps of Kim Bum’s perfect face.
Further examination reveals that the mystery guy has a tattoo! Ee Jung and Woo Bin decide they have all the information they need and set off, telling Jandi not to worry.
He goes to THE hotel room. And hesitates a lot (why so cute!) before he goes in. He throws a fit and K-Sakurako magically appears to tell him to CHILLAX. She says it’s not right for THE Jun Pyo to get so worked up over a commoner like Jandi. He is incredulous and grabs her by her jacket (he seems to really like doing this to people XDD I THINK IT’S RLY VERY HOT, THOUGH), saying he thought her and Jandi were friends. And why is she saying such bad things about a friend? K-Sakurako says that Jandi “took Sunbae away.” He leaves, presumably to find Jandi. She begs him not to go. He sneers and throws her off. CRIES WHY IS HIS FACE SO PERFECT.
At school, Jandi takes a nasty fall on her bike, courtesy of her evil classmates. They’ve also set her bike on fire. She gets up and tells them to go on. They do, throwing tomatoes at her and spraying her down with a fire extinguisher. I really think Goo Hye Sun is doing a tremendous job with the role. Especially in the more emotional scenes like this one. Very different from Inoue Mao’s version, but that’s not a bad thing at all imo. Jandi is so bad ass! I love her!
